Ultra Cycling at Bike Fest
Ultra Cycling
- When: 7pm Thursday 16th September
- Where: Online – Zoom
For 35 years Race Across America (RAAM) has been challenging ultra-cyclists from around the globe to push their physical and mental limits to the farthest reaches. Starting in Oceanside California, RAAM spans 4,800 km, climbs 175,000 feet, crosses 12 states and finishes in Annapolis, Maryland.
In 2015 a team from Navan, led by Navan’s Alan Heary, competed in this gruelling challenge. But once wasn’t enough – Alan has done this event three times.
At this online event, Alan will recount the experience, the challenges, and the drama. Join us to relive how it feels to ride alongside Alan as he recalls this incredible feat of human endurance.
