Time: 10:00 am
Location: Buvinda House Car Park, Bothar Sion, Navan C15 Y291
Please note this is a free event!
At our first event last September (see here for full review) one hundred of us cycled around Navan on a gloriously sunny autumn day, and since then we’ve been looking forward to meeting you all again. This year we’re allowed to have up to 200 participants, which means we need a larger area to safely assemble. Meath County Council has very generously allowed us to use their car park at Buvinda House as the start and finish point. There’s also a shortcut along the route, in case of tired legs.
Summary
The event is a cycle around Navan, starting at 10am on Sunday 20th June 2021 The starting point is at the Meath County Council offices at Buvinda House. Entry is available from the Bóthar Sion entrance only.
The cycle is open to everyone with a bike! For the safety and health of everyone involved, we have some rules:
- All participants must wear a helmet, must be at least 6 years of age and must be able to cycle independently [bikes with wheels larger than 14” are most suitable] – no balance bikes, no stabilisers, no scooters and all bikes must be roadworthy.
- Younger children may participate as passengers on parent/guardian’s bikes.
- Each participant must carry a mask. A mask must be worn if close to a person outside their own ‘bubble’ – e.g. in the event of a puncture. Current Covid-19 restrictions apply – maximum 200 participants & 2m social distancing rules.
