Thanks to grant funding from ChangeX.org three traffic monitors have been set up in Navan town as part of WeCount – a European project that enables citizens to initiate a policy-making process with fully automated measurement data in the field of mobility and air quality. The concept is simple: with a sensor in combination with a low-cost computer and software, anyone can measure the traffic and air pollution in his or her street.
On-line data from the Telraam traffic counters in Navan can be accessed below (click to view):
– Metges Road/SPUN Cycles
– Commons Road/Claremont Stadium
– Railway Street/Innovation House
As we build up more data over time we will be able to track seasonal patterns and year-on-year changes on the graphs below ..
