New date: Meet at Ramparts Car Park, Navan at 6pm on Wednesday 31st August. Registration required.

This is a gentle girls-only bike ride.

If you have not been on the bike for a while you will be very welcome.

This event is for reasonably confident and competent female cyclists. If you have not been on the bike for a while you will be very welcome. We will cycle at a leisurely pace that is conducive to chat and we will be stopping mid-way for coffee/ice cream.

The outbound route is on the Boyne Road. There will not be stewarding/marshalling at junctions. The return route to Navan is by the Boyne Canal tow-path.

Check brakes, tyres etc. before setting out.

Participants are advised to wear a helmet.

As the evenings are getting shorter it is advisable to have lights for the ride home after the event.

This event is organised by Navan Cycling Initiative as part of Her Outdoors Week 8th to 18th August “to encourage more females to explore the outdoors”
