

Our group has been promoting cycling for everyday transport and leisure since 2020, growing from nothing to almost 40 members, and becoming a hub for cycling in Navan (and beyond). So we were delighted to meet someone who’s been at this much longer than we have, and who has completely transformed not only cycling, but active travel, public transport, and how we think about transport in our towns and cities across Ireland.

Irish Cycling Campaign Welcomes Launch of New National Cycle Network Plan
Navan Cycling Initiative has been a group member of Dublin Cycling Campaign / Cyclist.ie since we started in 2020. Our group insurance is arranged through our membership of Cyclist.ie. Following approval of a new constitution from the Charities Regulator, Dublin Cycling Campaign CLG held an Extraordinary General Meeting on 4th January 2024 that adopted the new constitution and a new name that better reflects the national nature of the organisation – Irish Cycling Campaign. The new arrangements will mean changes to the membership structure and how membership subscriptions are collected. The day to day operation of Navan Cycling Initiative will not change.
